Signal Transduction

Signal transduction is the process by which signals are transmitted throughout a cell via a cascading network of biochemical reactions. Signal transduction molecules include subclasses of protein kinases, phosphatases, and G proteins. The results of a signal transduction cascade will often activate or suppress transcription factors to regulate gene expression. Signal transduction pathways are central to a variety of biological processes and a large number of diseases are related to their dysregulation. ProSci offers a variety of signal-transduction recombinant proteins to help researchers uncover new information about signal-transduction and the role it plays in proper cell function.
