HOST SPECIES:Goat
SPECIES REACTIVITY:
HOMOLOGY: Expected Species Reactivity based on sequence homology: Human
IMMUNOGEN: The immunogen for this antibody is: C-KYNWVTTPTTFK
TESTED APPLICATIONS: ELISA
APPLICATIONS: Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000.Western Blot:Preliminary experiments gave an approx 75kDa band in Human Brain (Amygdala, Hippocampus, Substantia nigra) lysates after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 115kDa according to NP_116753.1 and of 113kDa according to NP_055337.1, the smallest reported isoforms. The 75kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported?
SPECIFICITY: This antibody is expected to recognize all reported Y-linked isoforms (NP_116753.1; NP_116754.1; NP_116755.1) and all reported X-linked isoforms (NP_055337.1; NP_055337.1; NP_116750.1; NP_116751.1).
