Background
- This gene encodes a member of the septin family ofcytoskeletal proteins with GTPase activity. This protein localizesto the cytoplasm and nucleus and displays GTP-binding and GTPaseactivity. Alternate splicing results in two transcript variantsencoding different isoforms.
