Background
- This gene encodes a member of the HNK-1 family ofsulfotransferases. The encoded protein transfers sulfate to the C-4hydroxyl of N-acetylgalactosamine residues in dermatan sulfate.Mutations in this gene have been associated with adductedthumb-clubfoot syndrome.
