Background
- ADORA2A is a protein which is one of severalreceptor subtypes for adenosine. The activity of the encodedprotein, a G-protein coupled receptor family member, is mediated byG proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase. This protein isabundant in basal ganglia, vasculature and platelets and it is amajor target of caffeine.
