Polyclonal Antibodies

Polyclonal antibodies (pAbs) are created by and collected from B cells. Polyclonal antibodies take less time to produce than their monoclonal counterparts and are more tolerant of minor changes in an antigen. This allows polyclonal antibodies to be ideal for a researcher's immunoassay needs.

Key Advantages:

  • Can detect antigens with slight changes
  • Can bind to more than one epitope leading to higher affinity
  • Tolerant to pH and buffer changes
