APPLICATIONS: LRRC26 antibody can be used for detection of LRRC26 by Western blot at 0.5 - 1 μg/ml. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 2.5 μg/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 μg/mL.

Antibody validated: Western Blot in human samples; Immunohistochemistry in human samples and Immunofluorescence in human samples. All other applications and species not yet tested.

BACKGROUND:The LRRC26 protein was initially identified as a cytokeratin-associated protein whose expression was elevated in multiple cancer cell lines and cancer specimens as well in normal prostate and salivary gland tissues (1). LRRC26 was later found to negatively regulate the NF-kappaB activation and suppresses tumor growth and metastasis (2). LRRC26 can also act to selectively alter the efficacy of large conductance calcium-activated K (BK) channels (3).
