Pre-Bleeds

Why do we pre-bleed each animal?

The pre-bleeds are used as negative controls in different experiments and assays, such as ELISA testing. They can also be used to pre-select the animals with the lowest endogenous background for specific projects, such as generating polyclonal antibodies against targets like plant proteins
