HOST SPECIES:Rabbit
SPECIES REACTIVITY: Human
IMMUNOGEN: ADAM29 antibody was raised against a 19 amino acid peptide near the carboxy terminus of human ADAM29.

The immunogen is located within amino acids 710 - 760 of ADAM29.
TESTED APPLICATIONS: ELISA, IF, IHC-P, WB
APPLICATIONS: ADAM29 antibody can be used for detection of ADAM29 by Western blot at 1 - 2 μg/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 5 μg/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 μg/mL.

Antibody validated: Western Blot in human samples; Immunohistochemistry in human samples and Immunofluorescence in human samples. All other applications and species not yet tested.
SPECIFICITY: ADAM29 antibody is human specific. ADAM29 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with other ADAM family proteins.

psi-iconBackground and References
BACKGROUND:The ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease) protein family plays a role in cell-cell and cell-matrix interface related processes, including fertilization, muscle fusion, secretion of TNFalpha (tumor necrosis factor alpha), and modulation of the neurogenic function of Notch and Delta (1-3). ADAM29 contains one disintegrin domain, one EGF-like domain and one peptidase M12B domain (2). It is highly expressed in testes (3) and may be involved in spermatogenesis and fertilization (4,5).
