JC1804: Shipping Assistant

• Shipping
o Pull products for shipment
o Ensure products arrive from laboratory in a timely manner after QC
o Pack product and service orders for shipment
o Generate shipping paperwork (packing slips, shipment labels, etc.)
o Receiving shipments and deliver to correct individuals within company
• Inventory
o Maintain inventory levels of our in-house manufactured products
o Re-label in-licensed products
o Re-label our manufactured products for key accounts
• Logistics
o Maintain stock and order shipping supplies as needed
o Check shipments daily for delays and assist in international customs clearance
o Maintain relationship with shipping vendors (e.g. FedEx, UPS)
• Others
o Assist other employees in Customer Care department as needed
o Assist with administrative tasks (e.g. filing, faxing, and work in QuickBooks, internet research, and Excel)
o Customer care support as needed (e.g. answering phones and emails)

Education and Work Requirements
• High school diploma; AA or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 0-2 years of customer service and shipping experience, life science industry preferred
• Familiarity with online shipping portals including FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc.
• Familiarity with customs paperwork and clearance a plus
• Ability to multitask, highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office required; QuickBooks a plus
• Knowledge of metric system a plus
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English language fluency a must
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work with freezers at temperatures of -20°C to -80°C
