Preparation
Rabbits were immunized with highly purified chicken IgY fragment isolated from normal chicken yolk. IgG was immunoaffinity purified with IgY antigen, and conjugated with horseradish peroxidase.
Application
The affinity purified antibodies react only with chicken IgY, both the heavy and light chain, and not IgM or IgA immunoglobulins by immunodiffusion and IEP techniques. In ECL-based western blot, antibody diluted is 1:16,000 or immunohistochemistry (paraffin-embedded sections) is 1: 40 and 1:4000 for ELISA. Optimal conjugate working dilutions should be determined for your particular assay conditions.
