IRAK Detection Set
Background
Members of the IRAK (IL-1R-associated kinase)/Pelle family play a major role in IL-1R/TLR mediated inflammatory responses and in innate immunity. IRAK and IRAK-2 regulate the activity of a signaling cascade that mediates the activation of NF-κB and MAP kinase. IRAK-4 interacts with and phosphorylates IRAK, while IRAK-M is thought to inhibit the recruitment and activation of IRAK-4 and IRAK. The importance of the IRAK family in inflammation and immunity is illustrated by the fact that animals lacking IRAK-4 are impaired in their responses to viral and bacterial challenges and are completely resistant to LPS challenge.

Kit Contents
IRAK Antibody, Cat. No. 1007 (50μg)
IRAK-2 (C2) Antibody, Cat. No. 2123 (50μg)
IRAK-M Antibody, Cat. No. 2355 (50μg)
IRAK-4 Antibody, Cat. No. 3125 (50μg)
MyD88 Antibody, Cat. No. 2127 (50μg)
Source
Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were raised against peptides corresponding to amino acid sequences from each of the corresponding proteins.
Application
These polyclonal antibodies can be used for detection of various IRAK molecules by Western blot at 2 μg/ml to 1 μg/ml and Immunohistochemistry. Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells can be used as a positive control for each antibody except IRAK-M antibody and MyD88 antibody; murine spleen lysate should be used as a positive control for IRAK-M antibody and Jurkat whole cell lysate should be used for MyD88 antibody. For research use only.
Tested Application
WB, IHC
