Primary Antibodies
IGF-I Antibody
Background
IGF-I Antibody
Source
Produced from sera of goats pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant murine IGF-I.
Purification
Anti-murine IGF-I specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing immobilized murine IGF-I matrix.
Clonality / Clone
This is a polyclonal antibody.
Host
IGF-I antibody was raised in goat.
Please use goat secondary antibodies.
Preparation
A sterile filtered antibody solution (1 mg/mL) was lyophilized from 0.5X PBS pH 7.2.
Application
Neutralization:
To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of murine IGF-I (200 ng/ml), a concentration of 12-14 μg/ml of this antibody is required.
ELISA:
To detect murine IGF-I by direct ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of at least 0.5μg/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant murine IGF-I.
Western Blot:
To detect murine IGF-I by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant murine IGF-I is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Tested Application
E, WB, N
Storage
IGF-I lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20˚C. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. The antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4˚C when reconstituted.
