Background
Ghrelin was originally discovered as a preprohormone that stimulates the release of growth hormone from the anterior pituitary. Recent studies have shown that ghrelin, in concert with other hormones, helps to control both appetite and energy balance. Ghrelinis derived from a prohormone by posttranslational processing.

Description
Ghrelin antibody (Cat. No. XG-6133) in Sandwich ELISA for analysis of active ghrelin. The antibody was coated on ELISA plate. Various concentrations of active ghrelin were incubated and detected with Ghrelin antibody (Cat. No. XG-6133) at a 1:1000 dilution.
