Description
ENA-78 is a a 9.9kD inflammatory chemokine that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. ENA-78 is expressed by fibroblasts, is induced by bacterial lipopolysaccharides, and is chemotactic for neutrophils. This chemokine is produced concomitantly with Interleukin 8 (IL8) in response to stimulation with either Interleukin 1 (IL1) or Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNFA). This chemokine is a potent chemotaxin involved in neutrophil activation.

Source
Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hENA 78 (human Epithelial Neutrophil Activating Peptide-78).
Purification
Anti-hENA 78 specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing immobilized hENA 78 matrix.
Clonality / Clone
This is a polyclonal antibody.
Host
ENA-78 antibody was raised in rabbit.
Please use rabbit secondary antibodies.
Preparation
A sterile filtered antibody solution (1 mg/mL) was lyophilized from 0.5X PBS pH 7.2.
Application
Neutralization:
To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hENA-78 (100.0 ng/ml), a concentration of 15 - 20 μg/ml of this antibody is required.
ELISA:
To detect hENA-78 by direct ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of at least 0.5μg/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hENA-78.
Western Blot:
To detect hENA-78 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hENA-78 is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Tested Application
E, WB, N
Storage
ENA-78 lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20˚C. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. The antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4˚C when reconstituted.
Species Reactivity
