Primary Antibodies
Dopamine b-Hydroxylase, NT Antibody
Background
Dopamine β-hydroxylase (DBH) catalyzes the conversion of dopamine to norepinephrine and serves as a marker of noradrenergic cells. The expression of DBH is elevated during stress.

Description
Left: Dopamine β-Hydroxylase, NT Antibody

Purification
Affinity purified
Clonality / Clone
This is a polyclonal antibody.
Host
Dopamine b-Hydroxylase antibody was raised in sheep.
Please use anti-sheep secondary antibodies.
Immunogen
Sheep anti-DBH polyclonal antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human DBH, conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin. Sheep anti-DBH was prepared from sheep serum by affinity purification using a Sulfo-Link column matrix to which the peptide immunogen was coupled.
Application
Dopamine β-Hydroxylase, NT antibody is specific immunolabeling of the ~75k DBH protein in Western blots of human adrenal medulla. Applications include Dot Blots (DB) and Western Blots (WB). Sheep anti-DBH recognizes DBH in bovine, human, monkey and rat tissues. When internally tested under ideal conditions the working dilutions were 1:1000 for DB and WB.
Tested Application
WB
Buffer
Dopamine b-Hydroxylase antibody is supplied as affinity purified polyclonal antibody, 100 μl in 150 mM NaCl, 10 mM HEPES, 100 μg per ml BSA and 50% glycerol, pH 7.5., and there is adequate amount of material to conduct 10-mini Western Blots.
Storage
For long term storage –80˚C is recommended, but shorter term storage at –20˚C is also acceptable as aliquots may be taken without freeze/thawing due to the presence of 50% glycerol. Stable for one year.
Species Reactivity
H, R, S, B
