Primary Antibodies
Clusterin (MAb CLI-9) Antibody
Background
*Please allow 3-5 days for delivery time.*
Clusterin (SGP-2/sulfated glycoprotein-2; CLI; Apolipoprotein J (Apo J); TRPM-2) is the first identified extracellular mammalian chaperone and appears to be implicated in such diverse processes as sperm maturation, regulation of complement activation, programmed cell death, tissue remodeling and lipid transport. Increases in clusterin mRNA and protein have been consistently detected in apoptotic cell death paradigms, establishing clusterin gene expression as a prominent marker of apoptotic cell loss. A dual role has been shown for clusterin in that cells can be protected from damage and dead cells can be more easily removed after some types of cellular damage. The immunogen is purified human clusterin (TRPM-2). Additional Names
TRPM-2, APOLIPOPROTEIN J, CLI, SGP-2
Source
Clusterin (monoclonal CLI-9) antibody was raised against human clusterin (TRPM-2).
Purification
Clusterin (monoclonal CLI-9) antibody was purified to ≥95% in SDS-PAGE and is supplied at a concentration of 1mg/1ml.
Clonality / Clone
This is a monoclonal antibody.
Isotype
Mouse IgG1
Host
Clusterin antibody was raised in mouse.
Please use anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies
Immunogen
The immunogen is purified human clusterin (TRPM-2).
Application
Clusterin antibody can be used for detection of human clusterin by immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry (frozen sections), immunoprecipitation, and western blot (1:2,000). Method: : Endogenous human Clusterin and recombinant FLAG-tagged Clusterin from cell lysates were resolved by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, transferred to nitrocellulose and incubated with a 1:2,000 dilution of the CL1-9 antibody on the left or with an anti-FLAG epitope-tag antibody on the right. Proteins were visualized using an HRP-conjugated anti-mouse IgG antibody and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Tested Application
WB, IHC, ICC, IP
Buffer
Clusterin antibody is supplied as a liquid in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Storage
Clusterin antibody can be stored at 4˚C, stable for one year.
Species Reactivity
H
