Primary Antibodies

ChAT Antibody

Background

ChAT Antibody. This antibody is expected to recognize both reported isoforms. NP_066264, NP_066265 and NP_066266 are identical proteins representing isoform 1.

Additional Names

ChAT, CMS1A, CMS1A2, choline acetyltransferase, acetyl CoA:choline O-acetyltransferase

ChAT Antibody

Description

Left: Western blot analysis of ChAT in human placenta lysate (35μg protein in RIPA buffer) using ChAT antibody (0.03μg/mL).

Source

ChAT antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide near the C-terminus of ChAT.

Purification

ChAT antibody was purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.

Clonality / Clone

This is a polyclonal antibody.

Host

ChAT antibody was raised in goat.

Please use anti-goat secondary antibodies.

Application

Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:32,000. Western Blot: Approx 70kDa band observed in human placenta lysates (calculated MW of 70.5kDa according to NP_065574 and NP_066264). Recommended concentration: 0.03-0.3μg/ml.

Tested Application

E, WB

Buffer

ChAT antibody is supplied as 0.1mg of purified antibody, 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
