Primary Antibodies
Cancer is a general term encompassing a large class of diseases where cells must exhibit uncontrolled growth and invasion of tissue, as well as sometimes metastasizing to different areas of the body. Most cancers produce a tumor, but not all. The study of apoptosis is also closely related to cancer because normally these rogue cells would die by apoptosis but have found a way to avoid this. Also study of the cell cycle is closely related since this tightly controlled cell cycle is part of what must go wrong resulting in the uncontrolled growth. p53 is an important transcription factor involved in the cell cycle and the p53 pathway has been a very important area of anti-cancer research.
ProSci has a wide variety of cancer antibodies. Some of these have been categorized at part of the p53 pathway. ProSci antibodies are appropriate for ELISA, western blot, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications as noted for each cancer antibody.
