Description
B lymphocyte chemoattractant is a CXC chemokine strongly expressed in the follicles of the spleen, lymph nodes, and Peyer's patches. It preferentially promotes the migration of B lymphocytes (compared to T cells and macrophages), apparently by stimulating calcium influx into, and chemotaxis of, cells expressing Burkitt's lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1).

Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hBCA 1 (human B Cell-Attracting Chemokine-1).
Purification
Anti-hBCA 1 specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing immobilized hBCA 1 matrix.

This is a polyclonal antibody.
Host
BCA-1 antibody was raised in rabbit.
Please use rabbit secondary antibodies.
Preparation
A sterile filtered antibody solution (1 mg/mL) was lyophilized from 0.5X PBS pH 7.2.
Application
ELISA:
To detect hBCA 1 by direct ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of at least 0.5μg/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hBCA 1.
Western Blot:
To detect hBCA 1 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hBCA 1 is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Storage
BCA-1 lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20˚C. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. The antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4˚C when reconstituted.
