Primary Antibodies
ADRA2A Antibody
Background
ADRA2A Antibody.
Additional Names
ADRA2A, adrenergic, alpha-2A-, receptor, ADRA2, ADRA2R, ADRAR, ALPHA2AAR, ZNF32, OTTHUMP00000058849, alpha-2A-adrenergic receptor, alpha-2AAR subtype C10
Source
ADRA2A antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide of ADRA2A.
Purification
ADRA2A antibody was purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Clonality / Clone
This is a polyclonal antibody.
Host
ADRA2A antibody was raised in goat.
Please use anti-goat secondary antibodies.
Application
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:32,000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave a band at approx 37kDa and a minor band at approx 23kDa in human brain lysates after 1μg/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 49.0kDa according to NP_000672.2. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional bands). ADRA2A antibody has been used in mouse ICC/IF assays in: Tan M. et al.: p38 MAPK and beta-arrestin 2 mediate functional interactions between endogenous micro-opioid and alpha2A-adrenergic receptors in neurons. J Biol Chem. 2009 Mar 6;284(10):6270-81. Epub 2009 Jan 6.
