Primary Antibodies
AADAT Antibody
Background
Kynurenine aminotransferase catalyzes the irreversible transamination of the L-tryptophan metabolite L-kynurenine to form kynurenic acid. Kynurenic acid is an antagonist at the glycine site of NMDA receptors and increased levels of kynurenic acid are thought to exert a neuroprotective action in some pathological conditions.
