Ascites Production

ProSci can produce antibody from a Balb/c-derived cell line through the production of ascites fluid. This is done by injecting the cell line into the primed peritoneal cavity of Balb/c mice, and harvesting the fluid. We can do this from a cell line produced through our custom monoclonal antibody development programs, or from a cell line you send to us.

Our ascites production includes:

• Mycoplasma screening
• Cell line amplification
• Injection of cells into primed Balb/c mice
• 2 taps to obtain ascites fluid

Additional options include:

• Purification of ascites fluid
• Additional mice
