Transcription Antibodies
Transcription is the synthesis of an RNA chain which is identical to its DNA coding strand. Single stranded RNA is always complementary to the DNA template. Transcription begins with binding of RNA polymerase to the promoter and then producing a primary transcript and elongation. Transcription ends with termination when RNA polymerase and RNA are released from duplex DNA. Transcription is the first stage and key control point of gene expression. Often RNA can adopt complex secondary structures after transcription.
ProSci has a wide variety of transcription antibodies, including ABT1 antibody (activator of basal transcription 1) and ADPGK antibody (ADP-dependent glucokinase). ProSci antibodies are appropriate for ELISA, western blot, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications as noted for each transcription antibody.
