TAFA-2 Recombinant Protein | catalog# 40-295
Background
TAFA proteins are a newly discovered family of proteins, which are distantly related to MIP-1α, a member of the CC-chemokine family. TAFA mRNAs are highly expressed in specific brain regions, and have also been found to be expressed by lung basophils. The biological function of TAFA-2 is still unknown. Recombinant human TAFA-2 is an 11.2 kDa protein consisting of 101 amino acid residues.

The lyophilized TAFA-2 recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20˚C. Reconstituted TAFA-2 is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20˚C. As with any protein, exposing TAFA-2 recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.Species Reactivity
