Stem Cells are unique in their ability to be able to develop into many different kinds of cells within the body. When a stem cell replicates, it either continues to be a stem cell or it can undergo a remarkable transformation into a specialized cells. Scientists primarily work on either embryonic stem cells, or adult stem cells. All stem cells have three properties: They are capable of dividing and renewing themselves for long periods, they are unspecialized, and under certain circumstances they can give rise to specialized cell types.

All ProSci stem cell antibodies are stringently validated for different applications. These applications may include western blot or immunoblot, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluoresence (IF), immunocytochemistry (ICC), flow cytometry, radioimmunoassay, neutralization, immunoprecipitation (IP) and ELISA (please check individual antibody datasheets for tested and recommended applications). Virtually all antibodies have been immunoaffinity purified and rigorously tested which enables ProSci to provide the highest quality products available.

Additionally, ProSci offers many controls to be used in conjunction with each stem cell antibody. Cell lysates, tissue lysates, peptides and recombinant proteins can be used as a positive control or a negative control.
