ASCITES MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY PRODUCTION
ProSci can produce antibody from a BALB/c-derived cell line through the production of ascites fluid. This is done by injecting the hybridoma cell line into the primed peritoneal cavity of BALB/c mice and harvesting the resulting fluid that contains antibodies secreted by the hybridoma. We use a cell line produced through our monoclonal antibody development program or a cell line you send to us.
Our ascites production services include:
- Mycoplasma screening
- Cell line amplification
- Injection of cells into primed BALB/c mice
- 2-3 taps to obtain ascites fluid
- Purification of ascites fluid (optional)
