During shipment, small volumes of Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Chicken IgG will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. For products with volumes of 200 μL or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container's cap.

Purification

Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Chicken IgY was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Chicken IgY coupled to agarose beads. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Alkaline Phosphatase (calf intestine), anti-Rabbit Serum, Chicken IgY and Chicken Serum.

Application

Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Chicken IgY is suitable for immunoblotting (western or dot blot), ELISA and immunohistochemistry as well as other phosphatase-antibody based enzymatic assays requiring lot-to-lot consistency. This product has been assayed against 1.0 mg of Chicken IgY in a standard capture ELISA using pNPP p-nitrophenyl phosphate code # NPP-10 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:3,000 to 1:12,000 is suggested for this product. (Optimal dilution should be determined by user).

Storage

Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Chicken IgY can be stored vial at 4˚C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE. This product is stable at 4˚C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Freezing alkaline phosphatase conjugates will result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of opening product.
